Erasmus + Sharing Stories, Sharing Culture
Storytelling is universal and is as ancient as humankind. Before there was writing, there was storytelling.
It occurs in every culture and entertains and informs us.
We aim to bring people closer together by exploring fictional worlds and looking for similarities in stories.
Our main objectives are
· to Learn about storytelling traditions and understanding what stories tell us about ourselves throughout the ages and across borders.
· Develop social skills by sharing stories, myths and legends.
· Improve language and communication skills
· Teachers will enhance their teaching skills by exchanging ideas, advice and teaching methodologies.
· Throughout the project activities we want to see our students gain understanding, tolerance and empathy for others through respect for cultural differences.
· Collaborating on activities
· Digital and IT skills will be improved. Participants will use different media to share stories i.e. eBook/Pdfs, video, audio story.
In summary, by sharing stories, discussing them and analysing them we hope to better understand one another. We will recognise our shared values and cultural heritage by understanding that we have more in common than different.
